- Donna, Christy, and Matt (who has since left) are AWESOME to work with. - The venue is just as beautiful on the inside as it is in the courtyard. - The location is perfect--right in the heart of the city; if you want a city wedding, it really doesn't get better than this! - The venue is well-established, and vendors will have worked there before. When planning a wedding you will want the various vendors to enjoy harmonious synergy. This is all but assured at the Ivy Room, and it makes planning for your wedding far less stressful and far more enjoyable. - Prices are mid-range, but there are NO hidden costs. There is a flat fee to use the space, and the contract is very straightforward and easy to understand. Plus, you can pay with a credit card. Here is our story: We looked for the perfect venue for a long time. We had decided on one that we loved, only to have a terrible experience with the venue manager. I happened upon The Ivy Room on Yelp, and based on the outstanding reviews, gorgeous online pictures, and chatting with Diana B., we decided to check it out. We immediately fell in love with the courtyard (you will, too) and Donna. She was awesome, and made us feel right at home, quite unlike several of the other places we considered. Donna and Matt guided us through all of the ins and outs of what we needed to do to pull our wedding together. They also provided great recommendations. For example, Donna recommended our caterer, Ted Grady at J&L, a consummate professional that shares a great working relationship with the folks at the Ivy Room. Sadly, a month before our wedding, Matt left The Ivy Room, and we were informed that the newly hired Christy would run our wedding. We were a little apprehensive at first, but she was fantastic, making the transition seamless. She was on top of the entire evening, and Donna and Christy took excellent care of everything (including me) all night. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Ivy Room - especially Donna and Christy - and would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking to have their wedding (or other special event) in Chicago!!
The Ivy room at Tree Studios is one of the most romantic and cozy venues in all of Chicago. From the moment my fiancee and myself walked through the pretty underwhelming front doors, we were blown away by the spectacular ambiance and comfort that surrounded us. We immediately fell in love with the venue and knew we had to book it for our wedding right away. The ceremony was amazing, the staff was so accommodating that most of the stress associated with a typical wedding planning was non-existent. I will always cherish the memories we have from The Ivy Room.
One of the best and most cost efficient wedding venue places that i have had the opportunity to work with over the last year was with The Ivy room. My wife's cousin got married there in the summer of two thousand and ten. When we arrived at the wedding they had a very large opening with a beautiful garden in the front with a vast collection of well-kept flowers and plants. Once inside the main hall was a nice size with the dining tables set up with silk cloth and wine glasses. They also had a stage for performance and presentations. The bar set up was nice as well, there was an entire back wall set up just for the bar and they had three servers who had to assist with serving the alcohol. The also had a wonderful entertainment system set up where you could watch videos, and listen to high quality sound through the surround sound system. They also had a slightly smaller banquet hall across the hall; however it had the entire same feature as the larger hall across the way. After the wedding and celebration was over i asked my wife's cousin about the service and the pricing to hold such an event and she explained to me that it was very inexpensive. I highly recommend this wedding venue place because the staff was friendly and, the music was good, and the price was great. They even offered a free photographer service just for using their facility for your party needs.
