Spacious, well-appointed modern meeting place in the heart of downtown Chicago, minutes from the riverfront. The Summit Centre is a standout venue with comfortable conference rooms, ample space for ""breakout"" sessions, good cell reception, and excellent food service. As a guest at The Summit Centre in August 2011, I was in the midst of completing a number of training courses delivered at venues nationwide. Some of these events were held at four-star hotels. None surpassed The Summit Centre for convenience, ambiance, or comfort. My chief memory of the classrooms is that they were private, well-lit, and afforded with generous window frontage. An extensive buffet was set out both morning and afternoon. Selections were not only varied, but delicious, and easily exceeded expectation for a conference. The least expected reward of attending a conference at The Summit Centre is its attention to the learning and collaboration processes: attendees receive pens, hi-lighters, candy, and small toys that enhance their interest in following along and reduce the temptation to become distracted with their mobile devices.
