Our company has conducted two separate dinner meetings in the last six months at Nomi, located in the Park Hyatt Chicago. They offer two different spaces -- one private room for groups of twenty to thirty, and one semi-private room for groups of up to sixteen. Each space has a single large wooden table, and the decor is very modern -- in keeping with the general design of the hotel and restaurant. Reservation of the private spaces requires a reasonable fee in the $200-$400 range, which is waived if food and beverage minimums are met. These minimums are $2000-$3000 depending on the space booked. The larger private dining area also has an adjacent gallery space, which can be used for pre-dinner cocktails or presentations. Projection and other Audio Visual equipment is available through the hotel for additional fees. We worked with Karen Chisholm, Park Hyatt's Event Coordinator, who handled the arrangements for both meetings. The dining experience at Nomi was excellent, as should be expected of a restaurant at a hotel of this caliber. They offered a variety of pre-selected menu packages ranging from $85 to $120 per person with varied numbers of courses and choices for those courses. Beverage service was billed separately. In addition to any Room Rental, Food and Beverage costs, be advised that the Park Hyatt charges a service fee of around %20, in addition to the stiff Chicago sales tax of %10.75. Overall, we have been very pleased with this venue, and are planning to book again when we have our next board meeting in the Fall.
