This is the perfect venue! It is located right downtown Chicago on the river. The ballroom is spectacular. If you want to impress, hold your conference, meeting, or especially wedding here! There are many rooms to spread out in. The particular ballroom that we were in was gorgeous. Floor to ceiling windows and Chicago sparkling lights surrounded us. It is the perfect backdrop for anything. Do you have business associates to impress?? Put them up in this hotel! The rooms are elegant and the view of the river and lake is unbeatable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This hotel is large enough for you all to spread out and have your privacy. Located right in the hotel are a variety of places to eat and drink. You are able to catch up for apps and drinks before hitting the town. You can grab a cab right out front or walk to Smith and Wollensky which is just across the river. World famous deep dish pizza is less than a block away and you basically step onto Michigan Ave when your foot hits the pavement. I've saved the best part for last, this hotel is unbelievably AFFORDABLE! I actually live downtown, but got a room here one night just for a get a way. I've been to they Hyatt Regency for so many different events and absolutely suggest it to anyone of any walk of life. You can stay there on a budget and spend what you save touring the Windy City!!!
I really enjoyed my recent visit at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. My wife and I spent Valentine's Day in a suite and were quite happy with the location. If you're not familiar with Chicago, it's right next to the Mag Mile and not far from Navy Pier or Lincoln Park Zoo; the usual top spots on tourist's agendas. The building itself is great too, with three wings and spanning the street. The lobby is impressive with the cafe on the terrace. The big windows give it natural lighting and it's right on the river with a great view. We were greeted by a young lady named Savannah, whose name I only remember because she was incredibly nice. We checked in without issue and headed spent a few minutes walking around before heading to our room on the 23rd floor. I normally dislike hotel bedding but the king size was sweet. Firm mattress, feather pillow, the whole nine yards. The view was only ok, though. Seriously though, the hotel is great. We also enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant downstairs. We skipped room service and breakfast and split a big steak at noon. Once again, the service was great, with personality but not intrusive or annoying. I'll stay again and recommend it to anybody. Next time we'll get a room with a lake view.
I was recently at the Hyatt Regency Chicago for the annual Allied Social Sciences Association Conference - a conference made up of several groups, the largest of which is the American Economic Association. I was an exhibitor, so I spent a lot of time in the wonderful exhibition hall. It was spacious and carpeted, and we had everything we needed. Best of all, the business center was right there. When we had books overnighted to us, or need copies made, we didn't have to go anywhere! The hotel itself was great - the rooms were clean and large, and comfortable. There were several restaurants in the hotel, and plenty of conference rooms. Though there were thousands of economists staying in the hotel, and many more visiting each day for sessions, the hotel never felt too crowded. The location was also great; a few steps beyond the front door and you're at Michigan Avenue. A turn right takes you up to the Magnificent Mile and a left takes you down to Millenium Park. What could be better?
In two thousand and seven my brothers and I threw a surprise birthday party for my mom, and I was responsible for finding the best party venue, and they got the guest. The second place that I called was the Hyatt regency in Chicago IL, and when I called the customer service was very good, and the lady that I dealt with gave me a discount on the catering and the dj that they also provided. We also had a discount on the buffet, so all together we came out very good with the deal that we got. We also paid for 2 rooms, one for me and my lady, and my mom got one with her sister. Once we got to the party everything went very smooth, the food was good, and so was the music. The servers were nice and accommodating and the bar remained open all night until the party was due to be over. As a special offer, simply because it was my Moms birthday party, the Hyatt regency provided my mom with a complementary fruit basket and a 3 day 2 night stay for free at the Hyatt regency. She was also able to use the certificate that they gave her for her stay anywhere in the United States of America. Overall I was very pleased with the customer service, the amenities, and the accommodations that the Hyatt regency provided us with. I highly recommend the Hyatt for your mature party needs. They will insure that you have a safe good time, eat good food, and have fun.
