One of the best places for a meeting in downtown Chicago, Illinois is the Gleacher Center. The major advantage of booking at this particular venue is the area it is in. It is in a lovely part of downtown, surrounded by high end hotels and restaurants for entertaining out of town guests. Also, it is close to city transit so that out of town guests can explore Chicago. The center also looks fantastic. The outside is a typical high rise building with an abundance of windows to secure a view in most of the rooms. On the inside, all of the common areas are new and up kept. The rooms themselves are moderately decorated and have a professional feel. There are a variety of rooms to choose from themselves. There are smaller rooms designed for a round table discussion, training rooms that feature columns of desks and seats surrounding a podium, and even theater type areas. Overall, the amenities of this place are great as well. The catering is fantastic. Chef Wolfgang Puck is responsible for all of the food and creates a fantastic menu for every meeting. Also, the technology and equipment is top of the line for each room. Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful as well. However, there are a few downsides to choosing this venue. The first is that it is quite expensive. The rooms themselves are at the higher end of most budgets and the catering is delicious, but expensive compared to other basic buffet meals. Also, rooms must be reserved in quite a bit of advance since the venue is so desired.
This was my second meeting place in Chicago over the course of a few months. The inside of this place is beautiful, the workers try extremely hard to make you feel in a neat and clean environment. The rooms designated for meetings are cool in temperature and the chairs are amazing to sit in. The food is fantastic and not bad for the price you pay. The rooms are great and very comfortable also. You can get private rooms for members of a certain organization too which I thought was nice. Go here if you want a nice clean and neat view.
one of the best places that i have had a good experience with as far using a rented space for a conference center is back when i worked for a company called prepaid legal services. We had very large convention come to Chicago and they held several financial empowerment seminars, which was the theme at the time. During our stay, we had an entire buffet set up for us, including cold cuts and hot food as well. They also had a very large video screen set up in order for us to view presentations and real time statistics. The entire convention lasted about 5 hours, and they also included stock market class registration, and an employment advisory service that assist people with getting jobs. We had a capacity of about four hundred people in attendance and we still had too much food left over and lots and lots of space still available the gleacher center is the perfect conference center because it also has a vast number of spaces in all sizes according to the size and function of your conference or meeting. They had small conference rooms equipped with all of the latest video technology, with complementary lap tops built into the actual conference table. They also had video conferencing software installed on every television to communicate worldwide, and with other offices just within the building. I highly recommend the gleacher center to serve as the conference center for your meeting and convention needs. They have the space to accommodate you and your company in any way that fits your specific conferencing needs.
