I have been to business meetings at the Courtyard Chicago facilities several times and am yet to be disappointed. The hotel is located in the heart of Chicago, meaning it is an ideal location for exploring the different attractions after or before meetings. More importantly, the hotel has excellent ballrooms, boardrooms, and smaller meeting rooms, and provides great flexibility in budget and room sizes. My company holds meetings in the Ontario Ballroom C frequently because it is an ideal option for large meetings. The room is around 35 feet by 20 feet, and can be configured in a number of ways. It very easily fits 25-30 people in a boardroom style meeting, which is our usual meeting size. The boardroom style leaves room for extra tables and seating along the perimeter of the room, so more people can be accommodated if necessary. For larger groups of people, the hotel provides the option of combining all three sections of the Ontario Ballroom into a large function room. The hotel also has smaller meeting spaces for smaller and more intimate gatherings. The Chicago Boardroom, in particular, where we have hosted meetings, is excellent. All the necessary resources such as video and teleconferencing, projectors, and photocopy services are excellent and always up-and-running. The staff is always on hand to help with any issues that come up. In addition, outside catering can be brought in for your food and beverage needs. The best part of this venue, at least for me, is that it is located right in the heart of Chicago, which is a city I really love. It is very easy to visit the city's attractions and take in all that the city has to offer. The Navy Pier and McCormick Place are only a few blocks away from Courtyard. All in all, I heartily recommend this location to any business looking to host meetings or conferences in the Chicago Metro area.
The Courtyard Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is in an excellent meeting place in Chicago, Illinois. It is a very large and upscale hotel. The service is friendly and the staff really goes the extra mile to ensure you get what you need. They have meeting rooms of all sizes with over 4,000 square feet of flexible event space. Including the Ontario Ballroom which has 2,618 square feet of event space. Other functional rooms include the Chicago Boardroom, with leather ergonomic chairs, built-in screen, and intimate setting for up to 14 people. The Michigan Room, providing comfortable breakout space, stylish design, and seating for 30. And the St. Clair Room, offering a classic and intimate setting, with easy business-center access for up to 10 people. Their staff will also help you out with the style and decor. They also have a great Complete Meeting Package which starts at $59 per person, The package offers several combinations of breakfast, lunch and breaks for 12 or more people. Their lunch buffets offers lots of multicultural food. Overall I would highly recommend this venue for your consideration. Their website is very complete and can assist you with any other questions you may have.
I was at a large Mary Kay convention back in October and it was held at the Courtyard Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. I had never really spent any time in Chicago so I was not really sure what to expect when this was downtown Chicago. I was nervous and not sure if it would be nice or not. The meeting venue is connected to a hotel so most of us got rooms there. They were very affordable and they were nice and well equipped. There were over two-hundred and fifty Mary Kay reps that were there and there was plenty of room for each of us. The staff was really nice and everyone was able to answer any questions that we had and help us in anyway that we needed. There were several rooms for different meetings and things that were going on. It was so nice to be able to do the things that we needed to do and to have the space to do them. The meeting rooms and the largest of the meeting rooms were all spacious. They were all comfortable and decorated nice. There were a lot of amenities that helped us enjoy our time more. Another thing that was great about this location was the food that was brought in that was delicious. Also, it was fun at night because of the location we could go to where we wanted to and there was a ton of stuff that was close by that was fun to do.
Location - excellent downtown location just off Michigan Ave. Walking distance to the Navy Pier (20 min), Millenium Park (20 min) and just minutes from endless shopping and eating options. Room - clean...and stayed clean the entire stay despite the 3 of us being a little messy with our clutter and snacks. There was a king sized bed and a comfortable sofabed (believe it or not!). The room was fairly small and our 8th floor view was of the roof (nothing scenic) but at least it was quiet. Facilties - did not get to take advantage of the gym or pool. But did frequent the Starbucks attached to the Hotel often. Staff - loved the front desk people. They were super friendly and helpful when we asked for directions, info regarding airport shuttle, good steakhouses, etc. As well, the valet guys were also very friendly. It did sometimes take more than 15 min to get the car but I guess that can't be helped. Value - excellent for this ideal downtown location. We had a car rental and considering overnight parking is almost half the cost of the room, this part doesn't seem worth it. But it seems this is the going rate everywhere.
Featuring over 4,000 square feet of flexible event space, the Courtyard Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is perfect for meetings and social gatherings for up to 280 guests. This upscale business hotel is centrally located in the heart of the Windy City, which makes it very convenient to explore everything Chicago has to offer!
