Having attended business meetings in multiple locations in the metro Charlotte area, I can wholeheartedly recommend the meeting facilities at the Charlotte Marriott City Center Hotel. Located in the central area of Charlotte (also known as center city, downtown, or uptown Charlotte), the hotel is less than 10 miles from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and 2 miles from the Amtrak station, making it very convenient for people attending business meetings from another city or state. In addition, the venue is very close to the best the city has to offer - museums, up-scale shops, sporting stadiums, and more than 150 restaurants and nightspots. The meeting facility itself is world-class and comparable to excellent meeting spaces at other metropolitan cities that I have been to. We have had meetings in the Myers Park and Eastover rooms, which can comfortably around 20 people in a conference-style setup, as well as sales trainings in the combined Salons D & E, which can support around 500 people, and have been satisfied with both. Salons D and E are actually two of eight smaller rooms into which the very large Grand Ballroom is divided into, to provide flexible meeting spaces as required by clients. The meeting equipments and services are top-notch and I have yet to witness any hiccups in their functioning during my visits there. The meeting rooms come with all the essentials, including computers, printers, wireless internet access, LCD projector, audio-visual and teleconferencing equipment. In addition, the hotel also provides faxing, copying, and even secretarial services. Catering includes continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is excellent. All in all, I have no doubts that the meeting facilities at Charlotte Marriott City Center can satisfy all the needs of someone looking to hold business meetings in the Charlotte metro area.
