Here’s a brutally honest note from Kasey:
I really enjoy being at rehearsals. However, if you’re planning on having a standard, nothing out of the ordinary ceremony, and/or if you already have a wedding planner or day of coordinator that will be at the rehearsal, it’s really not mandatory for you to spend the extra money to have me to be at your rehearsal. I have performed hundreds and hundreds of weddings. I am very comfortable with my role. With that said, if required, and available, I am happy to be there for you. Please do not take this note the wrong way. If you want me there, then great. I’m just trying to avoid you looking back and thinking "Kasey really didn't need to be at the rehearsal".
Rehearsals are good for you and your future husband/wife to get rid of some butterflies, and to help your bridal party know when they’re walking out, who they’re walking out with, and where they are walking.
When I am at a rehearsal, I hit the bullet points of the ceremony script. It’s very informal, loose, and relaxed. Please DO NOT hire me for your rehearsal if you are expecting me to conduct/coordinate the entire rehearsal. That is not my expertise. That is what the planner/coordinator is best at. With that said, I am more than happy to help, give my advise/ suggestions on how to do things, what I’ve seen work (and not work) in past weddings, but when I am hired for the rehearsal, it is to go over the ceremony portion of your wedding.
I hope that this comes across in a polite way.
Also, please note that weddings take priority over rehearsals, meaning if your rehearsal date/time conflicts with another wedding that I have, the wedding takes priority and you will be refunded any money that has been prepaid for the rehearsal.
