Initial Consultation – To make your booking simple, I offer a free, no-obligation consultation before you ever sign a contract. I conduct these initial consultations online or by phone, but if you would prefer to meet in person somewhere near the Detroit area, then we may certainly do so. I will hold your wedding date for 10 days so you will have plenty of time to decide before you sign a contract and place a deposit.
Planning Meeting – Once you’ve signed your contract and paid the 50% reservation fee (non-refundable), I will be in touch to schedule a planning meeting. This meeting normally happens in person, but it can also be done via video or phone call as well. I will ask you questions about what you feel is important to include in your ceremony and get to know the two of you and learn about your relationship. This information will help me in writing your ceremony to make sure it reflects your beliefs and personalities.
Ceremony Editing – Following your planning meeting, I will write a full draft of your ceremony and email it to you for your review. You can revise your draft ceremony as much as you’d like until it is the exact wedding ceremony you want. Simply email your edited draft back to me and I will send an email confirmation of receipt. We want it to feel perfect, so if you need additional suggestions or guidance, I am happy to help at no additional charge.
The Ceremony! – I will arrive at your wedding early to help coordinate with your attendants and vendors and prepare for the processional. I am more than happy to work with other wedding professionals, and I am perfectly comfortable with photographers taking pictures anywhere they would like during the ceremony. I will deliver the exact ceremony we’ve discussed in order to create a wonderful experience for you and your guests.
The Program — I will provide you with a sample program (as a PDF) that you will be able to print on your own. In general, most weddings have a processional, a welcome, readings, address / sermon, vows, exchange of rings, pronouncement, first kiss, and recessional. It is important to provide guests with a program because it puts them at ease and makes them feel included, as well as to understand what is happening during the ceremony.
The Marriage License – Although it’s your responsibility to get the marriage license before the wedding, I will take care of signing it and filing it with the proper office so you may move on with your reception and honeymoon. You’ll also receive a copy of the license for your records, for example, you may need it for your honeymoon to enjoy the honeymoon package!
OPTIONAL SERVICES – Pre-marital counseling is available upon request.
