We had our wedding here this past November, and would do it again if we could! First off, the wedding coordinators at the Conservatory were so patient, personable, and informative. We appreciated how easy it was to communicate with their team -- we had lots of questions and they didn't make us feel silly for asking them. Everyone was so friendly and genuine, and profoundly knowledgeable. This made planning our event so easy! The venue is GORGEOUS! The space is beautifully laid out with a bright, colourful foyer and some smaller off-shooting galleries (our guests were entertained by the exhibits during the cocktail hour, and we received feedback that they liked having something to do during the photo-taking hour). The ceremony space is inside the greenhouse, it was amazing to see it transformed into the tropical outdoor wedding of our dreams while also offering the predictability and stabilities of being indoors. We were actually surprised at how many butterflies and birds were still awake late into the evening! Our guests liked being able to go back into the greenhouse at any point during the night. The food was amazing and the servers were all so pleasant. We had lots of folks with dietary restrictions, and we are thankful that the Conservatory was so accommodating and conscious of their needs. They prompted us to communicate these restrictions relative to the dinner seating chart, which was very helpful day-of. We did make sure to give our guests a heads up that it would be warm and humid inside the greenhouse, and then "room temp" in the rest of the building. The Conservatory website has a very comprehensive FAQ page that we shared with our guests as well. We are (months later) still getting compliments from our guests about the evening... the food, the venue, and the staff!
Wonderful and unique venue. Staff was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. The only thing was that a few people were disappointed they didn't get to see any butterflies, as the lights were off in their area. You could walk through it, but only a couple people actually saw any butterflies at all. (We thought it would be open for viewing like it is during regular hours.)
