About Seminary Hill

Seminary Hill is an all-season flexible space that offers a distinctive venue to host your weekend wedding. Located 2 ½ hours northwest of New York City, our holistic apple and pear orchard and working cidery provide breathtaking views of the Catskills and the Delaware River Valley. As Conde Nast Traveller remarked, the setting evokes “James Fenimore Cooper’s America, with a dash of Tuscany.” We offer both indoor and outdoor settings. You may stage your ceremony on a high ridge overlooking the Delaware River or nestled among the apple and pear trees. You may serve lunch or dinner in our award-winning Tasting Room or our elegant Wedding Tent. Our Executive Chef Jack Tippett has created seasonal catering menus that pair perfectly with our ciders. Included in the wedding package are the Mountain House and Cottage, sleeping ten guests. Additional lodging for 50 guests is available at the Boarding House and two houses in Callicoon, the small town just down the hill that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Seminary Hill’s warm professionalism makes this the ideal setting for your wedding!

You may gather with your guests inside or outside, for a cocktail party, a sit-down dinner, or a destination weekend. You may consult with our chef to create your own menu or select from our farm-to-table menus designed to pair brilliantly with our ciders crafted onsite. We also serve a full range of beers, wines, and spirits made in New York state. We also have onsite lodging for up to 60 guests. The Orchard is the heart and soul of the Seminary Hill Property. It is home to an active, sixty-acre apple orchard and burgeoning cider mill with a strong commitment to the sustainability of the land and local community. The orchard offers a distinct landscape for your wedding, depending on the season. In spring, our 1200-tree orchard blooms delicate pink and white flowers. In summer, colorful fruits grow against deep green leaves. In autumn, apples and pears hang ripe for picking against the vibrant fall foliage.
