About The Lazy Buffalo Venue and Bunkhouse
Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, the Retreat Venue at The Lazy Buffalo is where memories are made. 2400 square foot Venue featuring a large gathering area, 2 themed bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, spacious kitchen, a one of a kind serving area, and an outdoor picnic area with old fashion games and recreational activities.
The Venue can be reserved with or without the bunkrooms included. We have tables and chairs available for up to 65 guests. Let us put together a package for you.
The Venue has gorgeous dark stained floors running throughout which brings out the beauty of the space. We used a mixture of vintage bricks and various tones of barn wood on the walls. The tin ceiling is picture worthy and you have to check out the fun decor in the bathroom, which is handicap accessible. The LED lighting really brightens up the space and the floors are equipped with ample electrical outlets. We provide flat screen televisions and a projector with large pull down screen.
A quaint area off to the side has a comfy loveseat, cowhide rug, and vintage iron stove. The kids will have fun counting all the adorable critters hidden throughout the venue. Children can even ride the vintage coin operated horse. Challenge your buddy to a game of foosball or show up your card skills at the poker table. The poker table also converts and makes a great cake or gift table.
Cook up a homemade meal in the spacious kitchen complete with oven & stove top, fridge with ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, and cooking essentials. Whether you are serving up a special meal or kicking back with friends enjoying your favorite beverage, the bar top area named “Jack’s Mule Barn” by our grandkids is sure to be a popular spot.
Cozy up for the night in one of the two themed bedrooms which sleep up to 8 guests. Each bedroom in our venue has four twin sized beds with climate control and luxurious linens to keep you comfortable, plus each bunkroom has its own private bathroom with large walk in glass showers and stylish vessel sinks sit atop vintage dressers. Our individual Cabins can be added to your reservation for additional sleeping accommodations.
During your stay, enjoy complimentary Netflix and Wi-Fi or unplug and take in the beauty of the nearby Wichita Mountains from the covered front porch. Southwest Oklahoma sunsets are truly beautiful.
The picnic area is the perfect spot to grill up some hamburgers and then for a late-night treat enjoy yummy s'mores from the fire pit while stargazing from atop a vintage pickup. On property, we also have old fashion games and fun recreational activities like horseshoes, disc golf, giant connect 4, volleyball, and an interactive music wall.
