Mischler's is my village's florist. they've been there forever and they're better than most! The staff are usually friendly and helpful -- but they don't hover -- and the selection of flowers and herbs is usually better than average, too. I recommend checking out the greenhouses and the huge number plants in the back (where fewer customers tend to gravitate). I especially like Mischler's selection of hanging baskets and use them for my front lawn display. The flowers are so durable that after I bring them in for the winter, I can reuse them the following year, even though they're supposed to be annuals. I also like Mischler's sales. the annuals and perennials sales are great! I've been able to load up on lots of plants because of the cheap prices. Usually, the store is pretty busy during sales, so parking can be a problem because the lot is full. Hence, I tend to join other customers and park along South Forest. I also buy herb plants at Mischler's and think they're pretty good (and they're always far better than the herbs I've tried to grow from seed). Because the winters are long and cold here, Mischler's greenhouse herbs (and other plants) are usually further along in development and far better looking than the stuff I try to grow from seed. As for floral arrangements, I've often sent and received flowers from Mischler's. they're my #1 choice, in fact, for sending flowers. The arrangements are always beautiful and they always use fresh, long-lasting flowers. Delivery is fast and on time, too. I've never had a complaint.
