Olmsted features a bright and airy dining room with high ceilings, walnut and maple butcher block dining room tables, and a living wall of greenery juxtaposed with white brick that runs the length of the dining room. Olmsted's dining room can host private dinners of up to 40 guests or cocktail parties up to 80 guests, and chef Greg Baxtrom and his team will create a special seasonal, market-driven menu, as well as beverage selections for your event. Additionally with full buyouts, guests can take advantage of the garden year-round for a cocktail hour before or after dinner.

Our new private dining room is perfect for holiday celebrations, intimate dinner parties, weddings and anniversaries. The space was designed by Greg and built by his father Mike, who flew in from Chicago (again!) to help bring Greg’s vision to life. The room is lined wall-to-wall with William Morris floral wallpaper, and also features custom bookshelves that display Greg's favorite cookbooks and bottles of wine. You can enter the dining room from the garden by walking through a hallway that features an immersive, floor-to-ceiling forest installation created by florist Michelle Double. Part Jumanji, part “The Upside Down” from the Netflix show Stranger Things, the path is filled with fragrant, preserved plants, moss, and lush greenery on every surface. You can also reserve the year-round garden for private use, which is kept cozy by heat lamps throughout the winter.

Collaborate with the team to create a special menu of drinks, like champagne and specialty cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres to match the style of your event. During the fall and winter months, Olmsted's garden features heaters, creating a winter wonderland in the heart of Brooklyn.
