2.2 **Payment Terms:** Payment in full shall be due before the start of the event. Payable by cash or card through the venue’s POS system or by check payable to Gateway Food Hall LLC. **3. Security Deposit:** 3.1 **Security Deposit:** The Renter will provide a security deposit of $300 to be returned within 7 days after the event, pending any deductions for damages or violations of this Agreement. This deposit ensures the safety and preservation of our loft art gallery, as well as the general space and its equipment. The deposit shall come in the form of a hold placed on the renters card. This hold will not be sent through unless damages occur to the space or the gallery during the time of the event rental. **4. Responsibilities:** 4.1 **Use of Space:** The Renter agrees to use the space for the agreed-upon purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The renter shall not bring any food, drinks, or alcohol into the space. This includes materials that may be given to guests as gifts. The renter shall not light candles or open flames in the space. The renter shall not exceed the amount of 35 guests in the space. **5. Cancellation and Refund Policy:** 5.1 **Cancellation by Renter:** In the event of cancellation by the Renter, the Renter must cancel at least 48 hours in advance or be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee of the rental cost. 5.2 **Cancellation by Landlord:** The Landlord reserves the right to cancel the rental agreement with a full refund in the event of unforeseen circumstances or necessary maintenance. **6. Liability and Insurance:** 6.1 **Liability:** The Renter assumes full responsibility for any damage to the space or injuries that occur during the event. **7. Indemnification:** The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold the venue harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Renter's use of the space. **8. Governing Law:** This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Prince George’s County, Maryland
