Thank you for your interest in having your marriage ceremony here at King's Chapel! King’s Chapel has been the scene of hundreds of weddings since the Reverend Robert Ratcliffe celebrated New England’s first wedding here on May 18, 1686, only three days after his arrival in Boston. Our historic sanctuary built in 1754 provides a beautiful surrounding for friends and family as they witness you exchanging your vows and take another step along life’s journey together. For weddings with less than 50 guests we offer a more intimate setting in The Little Chapel at our Parish House, a historic townhouse with a charm all its own at 64 Beacon Street. Our wedding service comes out of the Anglican tradition and can be found in our Prayerbook. It is a service steeped in tradition through which the couple exchanges their vows and rings as a symbol of their commitment. Friends and family are asked whether they, too, will stand by you and provide support as you keep one another. With everyone invested in the union, the service concludes with a blessing. We encourage you to participate in our Sunday services, which are at 11 am, to get acquainted with our liturgy and the church. Consistent with our welcome of all, we marry couples of any faith or sexual orientation in the inclusive spirit of the One we worship.
