The Southern Birmingham is one of Birmingham’s premier bar & restaurants offering a unique combination of fine southern delicacies with a socially stimulating nightlife.
Inspired by its deep southern roots, The Southern Birmingham creates a casually chic atmosphere offering the best entertainment with the hospitality of a true southern gem. It exudes a casual sophistication that enables all of our guests to feel at home.
The Southern inspired menu has quickly become a local favorite offering acclaimed southern delicacies from fried pickles to shrimp & grits. The bar serves up an expansive list of local draft beer from Birmingham as well as wine, cocktails, and specialty southern creations.
Lunch and dinner served seven days a week. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday.
We welcome groups as intimate as 15 or as large as 700 for corporate functions, charity events, receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, engagement parties, bachelorette and bachelor parties, trade show events and more. Our events can be customized, which affords guests the opportunity to choose and personalize their experience. Our professional private events team is available to give you a tour of our space, answer any questions you may have and provide you with a successful experience.
At Uptown Cantina, the flavors of Mexico and Fresh-Mex are expressed through fresh ingredients and expressive twists on traditional favorites. Nachos, tacos, salads, and more are all complimented by our refreshing and hand-made cocktails. Mexican lagers, Cocktails, and a tequila selection to enjoy neat or in one of our signature Margaritas complement any meal! In line with the entertainment that marks this district, Uptown Cantina features amazingly open spaces, Our upstairs patio is one that you have to see to believe, and live music turns dinner into a celebration.
