Our educational company recently held our annual conference at the Baton Rouge River Center. This was our first time meeting there and we were happy that we had put out the extra expense to meet there. The location is perfect because it is right in the heart of Baton Rouge, on the river and within walking distance of many museums and other points of interest. The staff was very helpful in giving us suggestions about how to best use the space we had rented and were able to create an atmosphere that was both profession and yet inviting. The River center was able to give us maps and recommendations on local businesses to help pull our event together such as a local printer as well as different hotels to meet the different budgets of our guests. Our event was a great hit with everyone who was invited. I believe that since it was held at the Baton Rouge River Center that it helped to draw more people to our event than we had in previous years. Our event room was large and spacious which was a change from the small hotel meeting rooms that we had used previously. We had ample space to display all of our products as well as set up smaller areas for smaller focus groups and presentations. The Baton Rouge River Center staff were continuously available to us during our even to make sure that everything ran smoothly and to assure that we had everything that we needed. We were definitely pleased with our choice in selecting the Baton Rouge River Center and will happily choose it again for our next conference.
The River Center is an awesome place to hold an event. Lots of conferences and meetings are held there and one that I attended went very smoothly because of the River Center's cooperative staff and incredible spacious rooms and meeting halls. Everyone who was in attendance enjoyed the River Center and it definitely was a place that I would hold a meeting if I needed to. Staff was friendly and helpful and the place was easy to find, located in downtown Baton Rouge. Highly recommended!
