We looked at a lot of wedding venues in Austin, TX including hotels, gardens, clubhouses, and event spaces, we even put a deposit down on another before we found Lone Star Court. Lone Star Court checked a lot of the boxes we wanted: location, bar, food, hotel, charm, and central gathering spot. What we liked most about Lone Star Court was that it encompassed a place where people in our wedding could gather and meet either in the pavilion, the bar, or by the campfire. The rooms, outdoor space, and hotel were nicely decorated and clean! Our Wedding guests ranged from 2 years old to 82 years old and at Lone Star Court there was something for every age. The greeting and check-in process with Yolanda, Candie and everyone who worked the front desk was fabulous. Guests received a welcome drink, which they were happy for! Lone star court sent us a charcuterie board and champagne to celebrate the wedding! The front desk also had random things that were helpful during the day of the wedding like a steamer, scissors, etc. Jazz set up meetings with all people involved, answering questions of what others have done previously, including drink tickets for Friday “welcome drinks” (Shoutout to Octavia for taking care of us and our guests at the bar), and allowed us the opportunity to use the Sisterdale room for the buffet. When we arrived, the general manager - William Barba, banquet captain - David Huszka, and the banquet team, Jose all introduced themselves and were very warm, welcoming, open to suggestions, and very receptive to see if our vision of the space would work. What made working with them great was their “let’s try it and see if it works” demeanor about them. We had our wedding in February, where the weather can be unpredictable. The day of the wedding, it was 45?. We held the ceremony outside on the turf (Yes, we were cold), LSC gave our guests blankets during the ceremony, lit the campfires, and heaters. There was a last minute change to move the cocktail hour indoors. David and Jose were flexible to move everything to the Water trough within an hour, they even decorated the space beautifully! The reception was held in the “Tack Room”, which comfortably held 60-70 persons with the bar inside. (70-80 with the bar outside), a DJ booth, welcome table, cake table, another table for wedding games, and a dance floor, 15’ X 18’ enough for more than half of the people to join in on the dancing. Chef Senaida and head barista Monica really were amazing! I heard from pretty much all of the guests that the food, cake, and drinks did not disappoint! We chose the “classic” buffet menu and we loved every item that was served! The appetizers and food went very quickly, the biggest hit was the brussel sprouts, I went back for thirds and several foodies in our group that asked if there was more! Shoutout to Noble Party Rentals for being affordable when everything in Austin, TX is inflated. Lone Star Court really went above and beyond! 100% recommend!
