The staff at the Bertram is great! Just had my daughter’s Quinceanera in the Garfield Ball Room. I was pleased with everything.
Everything was wonderful!
Sweet 16 Working with Danielle was great.
My first visit to the Bertram Inn and Conference Center was to attend a bridal show. I was getting married and had already chosen my venue and wedding date. I just needed ideas and vendors for the smaller details like flowers, centerpieces, photography, etc. After a twenty minute conversation and tour with Brenda, one of their wedding/event consultants, I changed my wedding venue and wedding date (because our original chosen date was not available). To this day, I couldn't have been happier with that decision! Not only were the grounds, ballrooms, hotel, and buildings gorgeous, but it made our wedding day extremely convenient for ourselves and our guests. Having our wedding at the Bertram eliminated the chaos of having to drive (for us and our guests) from the ceremony site to the reception site, and in between to photo sites. We were able to have our ceremony and reception in two separate BEAUTIFUL locations at the Bertram, there were plenty of indoor and outdoor exquisite places to take breathtaking photos in between the ceremony and reception, and the hotel rooms were also right there for guest to stay in. This not only eliminated travel for guests, and hours of time to kill in between a ceremony and reception, but cut extra costs for us too, such as having to rent a limo. Guests raved about the decor and atmosphere, and we still hear about how it was some of the best food they have ever eaten.
Aside from all the beauty and convenience of the day, what I will never forget is how far Brenda the Bertram's coordinator went to make sure our day was flawless. While her job was to schedule the details of the event, explain policies, and how the day would proceed, keep in mind she was not our hired personal wedding planner who was supposed to attend to our every need, every minute of that day. The day of our wedding her only job was supposed to be to check in to make sure the correct number of chairs, tables, etc were set up on time for us. Right before the wedding was to begin we realized we had left my bridal bouquet at home and that all of the groomsmen boutonnieres were missing. I was in tears and on the verge of a breakdown. Overhearing this, she called a local florist and had boutonnieres in our wedding colors made right then and there and rushed over. She also called one of her friends who lived close by to come to the Bertram, get our house keys and address and rush to our house to get my bouquet and bring it back! Without even being asked or wasting more time to ask me, she fixed major disasters before I had time to completely fall apart. To this day, I honestly don't even know how she humanly accomplished all of that in lightening speed time. We were also getting married on my Uncle's birthday, who also happened to be standing in to do the father-daughter dance with me. To thank him, we had gotten him some birthday presents that we were going to present him with a specially made cake right after our dance. Minutes before our dance was to begin, I realized I had never wrapped the presents that were in my hotel suite and I didn't even have wrapping paper! Like a guardian angel Brenda was magically there to overhear once again, and had those presents beautifully wrapped and ready to present before our dance was even over! There are many things to consider when booking any venue. Trust me, I know (I'm a party planner). But when you can find beauty, value, convenience, and get guardian angel treatment all in one.....why consider any other choices?
