Nick Longo (Band Leader / Sax / Vocals)
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Nick comes from a musical family with a background in rock and roll, R&B, and jazz. Following in his father’s footsteps, Nick has proven himself a successful musician, and has been working exclusively in the field of music for over 20 years. Nick graduated from college earning a bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in Jazz Studies from Georgia State University.
His achievements include composing and arranging while actively working as a leader, studio-musician, vocalist, and producer. Playing all genres of music, Nick is constantly in demand as one of Atlanta’s top performing sax-players. Nick also has an all-original CD released in 2008 (This Is) that is getting fantastic reviews.
Nick’s first spotlight appearances were with The Coasters, and The Shirelles. He has since appeared LIVE with jazz greats such as Nick Brignola, Randy Brecker, and with Earl Klugh opening for Chaka Khan. Nick has also worked on stage, and recorded with music-legends Ray Charles, Don Henley, Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Greg Allman, Al Kooper, and Lyle Lovett’s own Francine Reed. Nick's work can also be heard on Commercials and TV programs such as Delta , Kroger, Eureka, Hud Homes, BellSouth, Cartoon Network, CNN, Weather Channel, and Nightman (CBS).
