I was lucky enough to be a guest at Millie S's beautiful wedding at the Houston Mill House. The garden was perfect for the intimate wedding - beautifully kept and just the right size for the party. It felt like it was a secret spot, completely separate from the busy city. The food was DELICIOUS. Some of the best shrimp and grits I've EVER had - not just at a wedding, EVER. There was also a good pasta bar and divine cheese platter. The house was very cozy, with the food being interspersed throughout, so you journeyed to each of the rooms on the main floor. The coziness of the house made everyone friendlier, encouraging you to talk to the other guests who you didn't know, as you passed through the halls and up and down the stairs. When it got too hot on the dance floor (and believe me, we danced up a storm, so it did), we headed out for some air on the patio. Even the patio was social, since there's a balcony on the main level that overlooks it, allowing for some friendly conversation on multiple levels. If you're looking for an intimate and classy spot for a wedding in Atlanta, definitely check out the Houtson Mill House.
