Last week, I was at the Embassy Suites Atlanta - at Centennial Olympic Park for a four day conference. This was my first time to Atlanta and I did not have many expectations. I can honestly say that the Embassy Suites was perhaps the nicest place I have ever been to for a conference. The spring is a busy travel season for me, so I can easily compare my experience in Atlanta to places I have recently been to in Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware. The conference/meeting rooms in the Hotel were spacious, had the perfect temperature and equipped with all the necessary, up-to-date technology needed. The Hotel staff constantly refilled the beverages and cleared away used glasses/plates. While the Hotel is a bit more expensive than most places I have stayed at previously, the service, amentities and overall attentivness of the staff made it a worthwhile venture. This is a great venue to conduct a meeting because there are multiple large and small rooms that are ideal for a large conference or an intimate meeting. With an in-site gym and delicious (and I really do mean delicious) food, there is no need to leave the Hotel. The rooms were in great condition, perfectly cleaned and comparable to any great hotel I have ever been to. The overall modern design of the building had me taking pictures all day. It is truly one of the most beautiful buildings I have even been in. Upon closure of the conference, I highly recommended to my superiors that we return next year to the Embassy Suites for this conference. This may be the first time I have ever not wanted to leave a meeting/work to go home to my own bed.
