When I was a student at Emory University (graduated 09) I would often join business and law related clubs and sororities as well as being a member of the student government. I would always have to be the one to decide where are gala's, initiations, and special balls were to take place. I always chose the Ellis Hotel. Located downtown the Ellis hotel provides a certain sense of elegance and importance and their facilities compared with others are modern, up to date, and the service is better than what is expected. Also their dining catering staff is just perfect. My only concerns with this hotel is that the meeting places are small and can accommodate at most around 50 guests crammed in the rooms of which there are two and the price. The price is not so much an issue because the quality of the place is practically 5 stars. The staff was immensely helpful ; I have done many different hotels for meeting and special formal events, this is the only staff that has the sense to know when to disappear and when to step in and give a helping hand and all with that much appreciated professional and courteous touch. I think the meeting rooms stand out also in that they are very much technically up to par. I deal with a lot of conceptual and emerging technologies and it is amazing how well outfitted those rooms are especially in their sound capabilities.
