For years this has been the preferred space of the Atlanta Apartment Association for the site of their dinner meetings, trade show, and some training classes. This is really one of the best convention spaces in Atlanta. Easy access to I-75 & I-285, ample parking with planned traffic patterns (helpful when entering and exiting), comfortable meeting spaces, and fairly decent food and beverage service. Yesterday the AAA hosted a small trade show, happy hour, a dinner meeting for about 500, and a party afterward. All the events were able to go on at the site. For those that didn't want to stay at the party, Jock's and Jill's was across the hall to provide relief.
Last year about 350 employees and corporate managers gathered at the Atlanta Convention Centre to host a large company party for Harbor Bay Medical Suppliers. We looked forward to the companies decision as to where we were meeting for some time and knew we would love it but got so much more than we had expected when they chose the Cobb Galleria. So pretty and giant! The staff was amazing, took time with us and made us feel like we were the belle of the ball!They were very polite, warm and welcoming. Living proof of the southern hospitality. There to meet our every need! There was so much space and room for all of our accommodations. The guest speaker was even impressed and made a few comments on how gorgeous the place looked decked out with lights and amazing tables. Presentation was Class ""A."" They really put into the overall experience, we were sad to leave. It was much like being on a red carpet event as elegant as it was. Notably the Cobb was clean and well maintained, employees were scattered around to answer to our every need or any questions we may have had. I was impressed at nearly every detail from the ceiling decorations to the neatly laid out floor. The Cobb must have had a heck of a time getting the place ready and they did a beautiful job. I wish I was still with Harbor Medical so that I could go back again! The only thing I would have to say was a disappointment was that, I wish there were more restrooms on site. The place is so large and with so many people it was hard to get to without waiting sometimes.
Like most meeting venues I was sketchy when I found out I was going to a new place. I love this placed though. Not only was the food great they have some of the best service i've ever endured. This is one of the few places i'll go in Atlanta for meetings and once you go you'll know why. Please visit this place because they really do deserve your business and they appreciate your time.
The Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia is a great place for any event, but it specializes in meetings and conventions. My first impression of the building was that it was clean cut and very professional. It looks like a meeting venue. Also, it is located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia close to hotels and public transportation as well as entertainment. That way, attendees can enjoy their free time and not stress about accommodations and transportation. The venue was a little bit expensive, but it was in a wonderful location and had great amenities, so it was definitely worth the extra expense. Also, the Cobb Galleria has a huge assortment of rooms to choose from. They have everything from round table suites to large lecture halls. Even more impressively, they have great technology packages. Projectors, AV gear, computer hookups, and microphones are a staple in the conference rooms. Also, there are various office supplies to take notes as well as dry erase boards in some rooms for better visual stimulation. Furthermore, the food was the best food I have ever had at a meeting venue. The options were so great, as an event planner it was hard to pick just one. They have a variety of buffets, but only for breakfast and lunch which is a huge downfall. They have plated dinners and boxed dinners as well, for your convenience. The food was amazing and very high end. Finally, the staff was great. They whole place was clean and ready for use. The food was always kept hot and when plated dinners were served the staff was very careful to make sure everything was great. Overall, a great venue that turned out to be one of my favorites.
January 2012 was the first time I have attended a business conference at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA. From the moment we stepped into the front door I knew this was a first class facility. It was newly updated, comfortable, and easy to get around. The banquet rooms were spacious and had comfortable seating and lighting. The morning breakfast and coffee arranged for our conference was very high quality. The staff was extremely helpful. You never had to look far to find someone if you need help. The bathrooms were large and modern with marble and granite finishes. It seemed as if we were in a high end hotel. The location was great as well. There were plenty of hotels close by and the Cumberland Mall across the street was top notch and had all the best places to eat. There is even a bridge that goes over the street from Cobb Galleria Centre to the Mall so that you don't even have to drive to lunch. There are also several great places to eat inside the Galleria Centre but they filled up quickly so we chose the go across the street the second day. The parking was easy as well. Each day when we arrived from our hotel we drove directly into the parking garage and found almost the same spot that was close to the door with very little walking. Even though there were other conferences going on in the facility at the same time as we were it did not seem crowded at all. The whole experience was great from beginning to end, and I would recommend it the to anyone needing to have a business conference, convention, banquet, etc in the Atlanta area.
