I have watched the building and development of a number excellent conference centers in Atlanta, Georgia. Friends who are in the business of arranging for conferences of different sizes and for different organizations and groups have invited me to accompany them as they visit some of the facilities. I have seen a number of beautiful conference centers and some that are struggling to book. However, I find there is one that stands out from all the rest. I do not hesitate to recommend the facility after personally attending a small conference at the Marriott Atlanta-Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center. Marriott offered everything a group of any size might need to hold a conference of any size. The conference I attended was in one of more than two dozen smaller rooms, but the largest ""ballroom"" can accommodate at least 700. All meeting venues are attractive and comfortable. There is a sort of concierge available to assist with planning. Catering can be arranged, and in my experience the refreshments were both delicious and appropriate. Multi-media equipment of every type is available. Staff is available to help with any transport or set-up. The entire staff shows an eagerness to be helpful, whether it is directing a visitor to a specific conference or answering a general question about the entire complex. I need to mention that the hotel is highly rated for its accommodations. Also the location of the Marriott should be mentioned. It is in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and across from Atlanta's first big mall, a premier shopping destination. Those attending a conference from out of the city will find shopping and dining right there. If I had to plan a conference, I would meet with Marriott.
