Getting married? Congratulations! My name is Ben Corey, and as an ordained minister I am vested with the power of conjuring marital unions. It has been my great pleasure to do so, and I would be honored to be considered for your union as well. I am not qualified to provide a religious wedding, I am a secular officiant. My pleasure in these unions deride from a sincere belief, so eloquently stated by Mark Vonnegut, that we are here on earth to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is. There is no greater ally in that quest than a spouse, someone who has committed themselves to be by your side through good times, bad times, and everything in between. It is that aspect, the creation of a partnership declared to be in pursuit of permanence, and to the end of increasing the unconditional love and friendship everyone of us needs, that gives me joy. The love between yourselves is being celebrated, and that is a message I will be sure to convey. I would certainly want to meet with the both of you first, learn your story, and work together in crafting a sermon that speaks to all of the reasons you and your beloved are tying the knot.
