EXCELLENT venue for the price. We looked around all over the DR/No. VA area for a place and the Crowne Plaza had some of the lowest prices. Hotel rates were great for the guests as well as ourselves. Lauren Fritz is the wedding coordinator and very professional. She was always cheerful, responsive and willing to work with us on a few requests we had. Good cocktail area prior to reception and the hotel bar on the 1st floor stayed open late for us after the wedding. The ballroom is a little tight if you are looking to hold the max number of people they claim they can hold. We had 150 people. It wasn't too tight but there wasn't an abundance of room in the ballroom but we did yield a decent sized dance floor. As a result several people ended up flooding out into the area where the bar was but nothing unacceptable. Food options were pretty good. We went with steak and salmon. As a MD native they had a crab stuffed chick with old-bay/mustard sauce as an option and I'm amazed I never heard of that before. My wife is a vegetarian and wanted a vegetarian option with the meals. As you pay per meal we didn't want to pay for 3 meals. As the vegetarian option was not utilized too often Lauren waived the fee for the extra meal choice. Unlimited bar went off without a hitch. It was a small bar with only one bartender. As a result people waited a few minutes for drinks but nothing too terribly long.
