The Planetarium at UTA is a beautiful and creative location for small weddings. When renting for a private event, you get the use of the planetarium itself, along with a conference room and the atrium. The planetarium holds 148 people, and the atrium and conference rooms can hold 50-100, depending on seating. This is not a traditional venue by any means. Included in the venue rental is a laser light show, which thrilled our guests. The Planetarium itself is dark, but can be lit up with images of the universe on it's large screen. The conference room has floor to ceiling windows that can be opened or closed easily. The UTA campus is beautiful, and the views from the conference room are fantastic. The atrium is open, airy and has lots of natural light. The prices were very budget-friendly. You are required to use the UTA campus catering service for all food and beverages on site - but they are also budget friendly and can provide table setup and linens as well. I do recommend the use of professional photographer at this location due to the lack of proper lighting in the planetarium. We took all of our pictures on the glass staircase in the atrium.
